Privacy Policy

Summary

New Day Motivation does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics, no third-party trackers, and no advertising of any kind. Everything the extension remembers stays on your device.

What's stored, and where

The extension uses Chrome's local storage API (chrome.storage.local) to remember three things, entirely on your own device:

• The last few wallpapers shown, so the same photo doesn't repeat right away
• The last few quotes shown, so the same quote doesn't repeat right away
• Your chosen search provider (Default, Google, or Yahoo), so it's remembered next time

None of this data ever leaves your browser. It is not synced to a server, not linked to your identity, and not accessible to us or to anyone else.

Search queries

When you type a search and press Enter, New Day Motivation sends that query directly to the provider you've selected — Google, Yahoo, or, if you've chosen "Default," your browser's own default search engine via Chrome's built-in chrome.search API. The query goes straight from your browser to that provider, exactly as if you'd typed it into the provider's own site. The extension itself does not see, log, or store what you search for.

Images and quotes

All wallpaper images and quotes are bundled inside the extension itself and loaded locally. Nothing is fetched from a remote server, so viewing a new tab does not create any network request to us.

Permissions

• storage — to remember your recent wallpaper/quote history and search provider choice, locally.
• search — to route a search to your browser's default provider when you select "Default."

Children's privacy

New Day Motivation is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, regardless of age — because it does not collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this same location with a new "Last updated" date.
